2018 Western Conference Championship Preview

Force, Foothills, Rapids U23 and Tucson meet at Rio Hondo College

Set to be hosted by the FC Golden State Force at Rio Hondo College from July 20-21, the 2018 Premier Development League Western Conference Championship will feature the hosts, Calgary Foothills FC, the Colorado Rapids U23 and FC Tucson.

The hosts claim the top seed in the Western Conference Championship, as the Force finished the season at 12-1-1 and with a Southwest Division title. They'll meet FC Tucson, who made a late run at the Colorado Rapids U23 for the Mountain Division title, but fell just shy and into the wildcard spot at 7-3-4. They kick off the late match at 7 p.m. PT (10 p.m. ET).

In the other semifinal, Calgary Foothills FC feature as the No. 2 seed, completing their regular season campaign at 11-1-2 atop the Northwest Division. Their foes will be the aforementioned Rapids U23, the Mountain Division champions, who ended their season at 8-2-4. The two kick off the early match on Friday, at 4 p.m. PT (7 p.m. ET).

The winners of the semifinals will meet for the championship on Saturday at 7 p.m. PT (10 p.m. ET).
