A total of seven teams will compete in the Northeast Division for the 2017 Premier Development League season.
The GPS Portland Phoenix return to the PDL as the reigning division winners. The Maine-based club has qualified for the PDL Playoffs six times since joining the league in 2010.
The Northeast Division claims one PDL Championship, with the Westchester Flames winning the title in 2001.
Many talented players have played in the Northeast Division before moving to the professional level, including Philadelphia Union forward and Bethlehem Steel FC loanee Charlie Davies, New York Red Bulls attacker Mike Grella and Atlanta United FC defender Miles Robinson, who played for FC Boston in 2016.
